l’Alfàs del Pi / 3rd March 2026
The Association of Merchants and Businessmen of l’Alfàs del Pi (COEMPA) is organising a community walk to the Albir Lighthouse on Saturday 7 March to mark International Women’s Day.
Held in collaboration with the Department of Equality and Diversity, the initiative invites residents and visitors to take part in a morning that combines nature, community spirit and advocacy.
The walk will begin at 9:30am under the slogan “Rights, justice, action for and by all women and girls”, reflecting the spirit of activism surrounding 8 March. Participants will climb to the Albir Lighthouse before enjoying a healthy lunch at the Mirador del Amerador.
The activity is free of charge and no prior registration is required. Attendees are invited to meet at the designated starting point shortly before 9:30am.
Organisers say the event aims to promote equality, healthy lifestyles and collective reflection in one of the municipality’s most emblematic natural settings. The walk forms part of a wider programme of events planned locally to raise awareness and promote real and effective equality between women and men.
Founded in 2008, COEMPA represents more than 150 businesses in l’Alfàs del Pi, supporting local commerce through training, digitalisation initiatives and promotional campaigns. Through activities such as this, the association continues to strengthen its commitment to social engagement alongside business development.
