Due to the renovation work on the Camí Vell d'Altea, traffic access is closed to the section between Clara Campoamor and the roundabout, with traffic restricted to residents only.

It is recommended to leave l'Alfàs via Sant Pere or l'Albir avenues, and to avoid traffic jams, use these alternative access routes.

The initial construction period is six months . This is a vitally important project, continuing the many proposals included in the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for l'Alfàs del Pi, which will provide improved connections with the rest of the municipalities in the region. Technical details of the Camí Vell d'Altea performance

-Improving the mobility and capacity of the Camí Vell d'Altea, CV-753 road (€851,998.99) and replacing the streetlights (€109,457.55). This project will provide continuity to the planned bike lane from Benidorm and connect to the L'Alfàs cycle path by creating 860 meters of bike lane. It also includes the construction of sidewalks on both sides of the road and the creation of pedestrian routes, serving those who walk to the campsite located on the same road. Furthermore, vehicle traffic will be improved on this road, which connects directly to Benidorm and is also the main access route to L'Albir via the new alternative access from the N-332. Furthermore, LED lighting will be installed, with control and regulation systems, to reduce electricity consumption and environmental impact, and make L'Alfàs a more sustainable destination.

 

It is important to remember that l'Alfàs has obtained two PSTDs, two Sustainability Plans, endorsed by the Ministry and the Generalitat Valenciana, 100% funded, or in other words, two subsidies, one of 2,441,513 euros and another of 2,001,722 euros, a substantial financial injection that Vicente Arques' Government Team will allocate entirely to improving connectivity, mobility, accessibility, security and intelligence throughout the municipality.
