The British association Givin4Giving, with operations in different locations in the Marina Baixa, has made a new donation of 1,000 euros to the Social Volunteering of l'Alfàs, with the aim of helping families with fewer resources in the municipality.
The delivery ceremony coincided with the inauguration of the new store that this charity has opened on 26 Europa Avenue. An event attended by Gary Bufrr, president of Giving4Giving; Martine Mertens, Councilor for Residents of the Alfàs del Pi City Council; Isabel Muñoz, Councilor for Cooperation and Volunteering; Patrick de Meirsman, councilor for Relations with Residents' Associations and Clubs; Antonio Viso, president of Social Volunteering, and Joanna Wilson, treasurer of the association, among others.
The City Council appreciates the generosity and commitment of the Givin4Giving association, an organisation that has offices in La Nucía, Altea, La Vila Joiosa and l'Alfàs del Pi. They raise money by selling donated furniture, clothing and other objects, which they then donate to different associations, especially the fight against cancer.
Throughout its history, this organisation has donated more than 20,000 euros to different associations in the region. Anyone can collaborate by donating household goods, clothing or decorative objects, which are on sale at their different locations. All money raised goes to social purposes.
