Nadala starts with a parade from Calle Colom that reaches the Barbera Park and a circus show enlivened by the Ateneu Musical band.
"La Nadala, the village fair of these holidays" opens the doors to the La Barbera estate. The inauguration began with a parade from the Centella villa, which went along Colom and Barranquet streets, to the Barbera dels Aragonès estate. The parade was enlivened by a show of jugglers, moissanites, unicyclists, clowns, puppeteers and stilt walkers and the performance of the Ateneu Musical band. Arriving in front of the facade of the Barbera house museum, the lighting of the Christmas lights was accompanied by fireworks and the circus show. Then, the band and the circus artists toured the fair, while young and old enjoyed the attractions, the craft market and the catering service.
Ahead, a month of activities make up the program of La Nadala, where the La Barbera estate is the epicenter of Christmas. The fair has children's attractions, including an ecological ice skating rink, as well as a Christmas craft market, catering service, activities for children and musical performances.
Nadala will be open every day until January 7. The schedule between December 11 and 14 and from December 18 to 21 will be from 5 to 10 p.m. and on weekends and days that coincide with school holidays, from December 26 to 29 and from 2 to 7 in January, it will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
During the holidays, the little ones can take part in various thematic workshops. On the 22nd, they will prepare their letters full of wishes in the workshop "Write your magic letter with Santa's elves and elves" so that the next day they can personally deliver the letter to Father Christmas. On Saturday 23rd, Father Christmas will visit La Nadala. Father Christmas will walk the streets of the town center accompanied by the Els Valerios gang until he reaches La Barbera, where the children can visit him and hand him the letter.
Children will have fun with children's theater by Arteater, a dance workshop with the Tribalia academy, a Christmas painting workshop by the Angela Gordero Art Space and learn to make Christmas sweets in a pastry workshop children taught by Soflama. They will also write their letters in the "Write your royal letter for the Magi" workshop, since on January 4, the Royal Mail will arrive in La Barbera, after making a parade from Plaza de la Generalitat and going through the Carrer Canalejas, Colom and Barranquet, through which he will be accompanied by the Els Valerios gang. Already at the Barbera, the Royal Mailman will collect all the letters from the boys and girls. On the 5th we will live the most magical evening of the year with the long-awaited cavalcade of the Magi of the Orient, whose parade will go through the streets of the city center and end in La Barbera, where Their Majesties will greet all the attendees.
Nadala also has sporting events and on the 29th it will be the stage for the start and finish of the Sant Silvestre family run where the participants will show off their Christmas outfits walking through the streets of the city centre.
La Nadala's programming extends to cultural activities at other venues, such as the auditorium of the Llar del Pensionista social center, the Teatre Auditori or Vilamuseu, among others, where Christmas concerts by bands will be offered Ateneu Musical and Agrupació Musical Mediterrani, the Big Band Ateneu, the Colla Els Valerios and the Villajoyosa Choir.
On the other hand, we will say goodbye to the year with an afternoon party in the historic center where the musical group La Gran Babylon and DJ Pere Happy will perform. At midnight, the arrival of the new year will be celebrated with the bells of the church of Our Lady of the Assumption, followed by a party, in the same square of the church, enlivened by Thursday.
