Under the motto 'My Health, my right', World Health Day was celebrated yesterday, Sunday, and the Department of Health of the Alfàs del Pi City Council organised a special session of the Dance Workshop on Racó de l'Albir beach. , in collaboration with the Costa Blanca Balla Club and the dance instructor Carolina Marcet. A free activity, scheduled every penultimate Sunday of the month, with the aim of promoting healthy living habits among the population.
And as usual, the workshop has been a success with participation and fun, as highlighted by the councilor, Marisa Cortés, thanking each and every one of the participants for their participation.
L'Alfàs del Pi belongs to XarxaSalut, a network that encompasses more than 200 municipalities in the Valencian Community, committed to promoting preventive policies focused on the implementation of healthy habits in the population. A town also integrated into the Spanish Network of Healthy Cities, an entity promoted by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and the Ministry of Health.
The practice of physical exercise, such as dancing, has an impact on our general state of health and these actions are intended to promote sport in all its variations, explains the Councilor for Health, Marisa Cortés. This is an action that aims to guarantee a healthy life by promoting well-being for all ages, complying with the SDGs, Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
The Costa Blanca Balla Club is a non-profit social and sports dance organisation, which was created with the aim of bringing together people who like this hobby, learning to dance, carrying out activities related to dance, promoting dance through area and train dancers for competition.
