La Nucía to Host 15th Annual Christmas Charity Fair from 12–14 December

Santa’s House returns to Plaça Santa Teresa

 

La Nucía will celebrate the 15th Annual Christmas Charity Fair from Friday 12 December to Sunday 14 December, with events taking place across Plaça Major, Carrer Major and Plaça Santa Teresa, where Santa’s large festive house will once again be installed, complete with his elves wrapping gifts. Entry is free, and the fair will offer three days of activities for all ages.

 

The fair will open on Friday 12 December at 6:00 pm with a performance by the Muixara School choirs. Throughout the weekend, visitors will enjoy a wide programme of performances from La Nucía’s dance, music and sports schools. Artisan stalls and charity stands will offer Christmas-themed items, with proceeds supporting social causes.

 

The presentation of the 15th Christmas Fair was attended by Bernabé Cano, Mayor of La Nucía; Beatriz Pérez-Hickman, Councillor for Social Welfare; Mª Jesús Jumilla, Councillor for Tourism; and Cristóbal Llorens, Councillor for Festivals.

 

This year’s Charity Christmas Fair is organised by the Departments of Social Welfare, Senior Citizens, Youth, Tourism and Festivals, with the collaboration of els Majorals 2026 – Penya Els Festers and a number of local and regional NGOs, including: the La Nucía Association of Retirees and Pensioners, La Nucía Cancer Association, Mediterranean Parkinson’s Association (APARME),

 

AHEDYSIA, and the La Nucía Feline Trails Association. The event is supported by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana

Santa’s House and Opening Times

Friday 12 December: 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Saturday 13 December: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm

Sunday 14 December: 11:00 am – 9:00 pm

 

On Sunday at noon, Santa Claus will appear in Plaça Major to collect letters from local children. At all other times, he will be at Santa’s House in Plaça Santa Teresa, where visitors can explore the workshop and watch the elves wrap gifts.

 

The fair will extend from Plaça Major to Plaça Santa Teresa, with craft stalls along Carrer Major and charity stalls and food vendors in Plaça Major.

 

Charity Stalls

A variety of fundraising stalls will offer handmade Christmas products including ornaments, centrepieces, and nativity figures, produced in workshops organised by local associations and the Senior Citizens and Youth departments. All proceeds will be donated to local and regional charities.

 

Majorals Bar 2026

Els Majorals 2026 – Penya Els Festers will operate a bar throughout the three days, serving traditional Nucía dishes at affordable prices to raise funds for the Festes d’Agost de La Nucía.

 

Free Parking

Visitors to the Christmas Fair can use free parking at the Les Nits car park on Avenida Porvilla (opposite the Health Centre), offering 400 spaces. The car park is just 100 metres from Plaça Major, ensuring convenient access for all attendees.
