The Association of Traders and Businessmen of l'Alfàs del Pi is finalising details for the celebration of the third edition of Albir Wine Lover, which will take place on Friday 6 September, from 6:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., in the Eucalpitos Park. This wine and food event is organised in collaboration with the Department of Commerce of the Town Hall of l'Alfàs del Pi.
As in previous years, Albir Wine Lover will feature local and nearby producers, both in wines and in restaurants, as well as wineries from all over Spain, craft beers, exclusive liquors, music and raffles. This year, 10 food stands will be set up and up to 50 wine references will be available for tasting, all accompanied by live music from the Babylon Orchestra.
This is an initiative whose main objective is to highlight the rich gastronomic offer of the municipality and, in addition, to concentrate in one place wines, cavas and vermouths from designations of origin from all over Spain.
This third edition will have limited capacity. The aim is to offer the best service to attendees, COEMPA points out . Advance ticket purchases can be made at the Albir Tourist Office and at the following establishments: Zeblack, Villas Alfaz, Cañas & Coffee and Gustavo Moreno.
In recent years, wine tourism and wine culture have emerged as a complementary avenue for the tourism sector that allows for the creation of jobs and wealth. From the Town Hall of l'Alfàs del Pi, the Councillor for Commerce, Patrick de Meirsman, congratulates COEMPA for this initiative, which has quickly become a centre of attraction for visitors to the municipality and a great showcase for the magnificent commercial and hospitality offering of l'Alfàs. In the last edition, this event brought together more than 2,500 people.
L'Alfàs del Pi is the only municipality in the Marina Baixa region that is part of the Alicante Wine Route. Wine culture is part of the municipality and allows for a tourist development that involves different services, from wineries to hotels, restaurants, bookstores and specialized shops. For this reason, the Town Council of l'Alfàs has opted to promote, revitalize and spread wine culture from a tourist point of view, as an interesting attraction for visitors to the municipality.
