Tomorrow, Friday 29 August, marks the final day of the Red Cross’ free summer health campaign on Albir beach. From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Albir Beach Library will host a morning of healthy activities for all ages, organised by the Red Cross in collaboration with l’Alfàs del Pi Town Council. For further details, residents may contact WhatsApp: 607 460 790.
The campaign, run every Friday throughout August, aims to raise awareness about health and prevention through an information point and practical activities. Red Cross volunteers provide advice on sun protection, heat safety, hydration and healthy eating. Visitors can also access biometric checks, including blood pressure and blood oxygen monitoring.
In addition, the initiative offers guidance on first aid responses such as CPR, jellyfish stings and choking.
This prevention campaign, part of the Red Cross Responds plan, supports the Vive l’Alfàs Saludable programme, which promotes healthy habits and well-being among both residents and visitors.
The initiative is backed by the Town Council’s Departments of Health, Tourism and Beaches, reinforcing the municipality’s commitment to continuously improving quality of life in l’Alfàs del Pi.
