Thousands of residents and tourists visit the Medieval Market this weekend. More than 80 places of craft and gastronomy form the decorated stage in the park at the mouth of the Amadorio River. Musical performances and theatrical exhibitions every thirty minutes surround the visitors' walk that transports them to the time of the Middle Ages. Attendees enjoy street shows with theatrical performances, juggling, dances, storytelling and medieval music. Meats, sausages, cheeses,
liquors and Arabic sweets are some of the gastronomic proposals that can be tasted in authorized areas. Jewellery, soaps, perfumes, aromatic herbs, fabrics, leather goods, wooden toys, ceramics, basketry and a myriad of handicrafts and artisanal products make up the offer that shows the trades of the time. In addition, the corsairs are resting in the stables, who are preparing to compete in the great medieval tournament Gran Circus Maximus that will be organised this afternoon.
The little ones have an area with children's games, such as puzzles, three-in-a-row, darts, and wooden children's attractions, such as swings, water slides and horses.

Yesterday the Medieval Market was inaugurated with a parade of characters from the time and horses attended by members of the Municipal Corporation. This evening the characters of the Medieval Market will set the scene for the arrival of the civic procession at the church of Our Lady of the Assumption, in the historic district, where the act of granting the People's Charter, dated 8 of May 1300, and starring Bernat de Sarrià, whose knight this year is played by Ginés Reos.
