Opening with the traditional Parade of Nations, led this year by Venezuela
This Saturday, April 12th, "International Day of La Nucía" will be celebrated at the Muixara pavilion . The opening ceremony will take place with the traditional " Parade of Nations," with Venezuela chosen to lead the event this year . A cultural exchange will showcase the culture, folklore, and traditions of countries from several continents. Admission is free to the public.
A comprehensive program has been designed , beginning at 11:00 a.m. and extending throughout the day, with more than 25 performances from various countries and dance shows. As in previous editions, various dance and art schools from La Nucía will participate .
Parade of Nations
A spectacular "Parade of Nations" has been planned for the opening at 11:00 a.m., and this year Venezuela will be in charge of opening the parade. Each year, a different country has opened the parade. Festival queen Andrea Jumilla and her bridesmaids, along with the 2025 Majorals (Penya El Cuc), will represent Spain in this ninth edition of the Parade of Nations.

On Saturday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m., this IX International Day will begin with the Parade of Nations. Throughout the day, folkloric performances from the following countries will take place on stage : Ukraine, Bulgaria, Ireland, Paraguay, Georgia, Spain, Indonesia, Venezuela, Romania, Bolivia, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Colombia, Chile and Cuba . In addition, the following Nucieras schools will perform : Les Nits Modern Dance School, Anabel Ibáñez Dance School, Danzas Mayen and Beatriz Vaello Dance School, which will represent Spain in its performance.
For over seven hours (starting at 11 a.m.) in the Muixara Pavilion parking lot, you can enjoy music, dancing, performances, traditional costumes, snacks, local cuisine, crafts, and more at the stands representing the different countries. Els Majorals 2025 – Penya El Cuc will also have a stand representing Spain, featuring typical food from Nucia and Valencia.
New countries
In 2025, new countries such as Poland, Ivory Coast, Ireland, Belgium, Chile, and Thailand will debut on "International Day of La Nucía," showcasing their culture, folklore, and gastronomy. In total, more than 30 countries will fill the 36 confirmed stands, which will also feature international press publishing in the Marina Baixa region, NGOs, cultural associations, and more.
