The Councilor for Tourism, Beaches and the Environment has held a meeting with all the agents involved in Albir beach, security, rescue and lifeguards, as well as those responsible for technical services, paying special attention to the aesthetic improvement of the Paseo de las Estrellas .
At this meeting, the improvement work that will be carried out shortly has been established and listed so that everything is ready for the next Easter season.
Until then, the beach access walkways and the signaling beacons that separate the bathing area from the free area for the circulation of boats must be placed, as well as the entry and exit channels for skates and various water sports such as kayaking or paddle surfing. On the other hand, a series of improvement works have been carried out to renew bicycle parking, sand collection in play areas and swings, replacement of the beach library platform as well as the renewal of information signage and improvement of toilets.
Remember that within the actions of the Tourism Sustainability Plans in Destination endowed with more than 4.5 million euros financed 100% with European funds, the replacement of toilets, the change of all lighting is planned, betting on energy efficiency and the main work that will convert the Paseo de las Estrellas into a single-level space, with restricted traffic and that will give priority to pedestrians, focusing on accessibility, sustainability and safety criteria.
