Demi and Jacob, owners of The Dog House pub, have donated more than 2,000 euros to the Social Volunteer Association of l'Alfàs del Pi, money raised during the party that, on the occasion of their second anniversary, they organized in this establishment in l'Alfàs del Pi. Albir. A party that featured a great raffle and live music. All the money donated will go to the Alfàs Food Bank.
This was highlighted by Antonio Viso, president of Social Volunteering, after thanking Demi, Jacob and their entire team, made up of Gary, Jim, Niguel and Den, for this important donation. The Councilor for Cooperation and Volunteering, Isabel Muñoz, and the Councilor for Commerce, Relations with Associations and Resident Clubs, Patrick de Meirsman, have valued this new solidarity initiative very positively.
The Social Volunteering of l'Alfàs is a non-profit association that has been dedicated since 2013 to serving residents of the municipality at risk of social exclusion. It currently has around thirty volunteers who dedicate much of their free time to collecting, sorting and distributing clothing and food, as well as caring for the elderly and sick. In addition, they develop awareness campaigns among the population aimed at promoting a culture of solidarity in the municipality.
The association appreciates the constant support they receive, both from private citizens and from public and private institutions and entities. The list of collaborators is long, from the city council itself to groups of retirees, clubs of residents of other nationalities, sports and festive groups, schools, banking entities, business associations, NGOs, companies and businesses... In short, a large group of people of different nationalities and ages, to whom the Social Voluntary Association wants to thank and whom it encourages to continue providing their collaboration.
