The lifeguard and lifeguard services are fully operational. Activated since June 1, they are a key component of Racó de l'Albir beach, focusing on the care of bathers and other beachgoers. In the midst of the high season, the Councilor for Beaches, Luis Morant, conducted a technical visit. There's a lot of summer ahead, and the lifeguard and rescue service will remain operational until the end of September, under the coordination of Alan Bernabéu.
The Councilor for Beaches, Luis Morant, spoke with the lifeguard team, taking the opportunity to appeal for public cooperation, "to pay attention to the regulations, and together we can enjoy a safe summer." Meanwhile, Alan Bernabéu recommends avoiding reckless behavior and never leaving children alone.
The service, activated on June 1st, is staffed by three lifeguards and a nurse. In addition, the accessible bathing area has an additional staff member to reinforce the public service team on the beachfront.
And since mid-June, rentals of skates, kayaks, and paddleboards have been operational, while the sunbed and umbrella service has been open since Easter.
The lifeguard and rescue service at Racó de l'Albir beach is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. during July and August, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in September. The Department of Beaches reports that this summer operation is supported by the Departments of Citizen Safety and Technical Services and Cleaning, reinforcing police surveillance along the beachfront, in addition to cleaning services.
The accessible bathing area at Racó de l'Albir beach, designed to allow people with reduced mobility to easily access the shore and bathe safely, is equipped with shaded areas, accessible showers and toilets, support equipment for users, such as amphibious chairs and crutches, and qualified technical staff to provide the service. More information about the service is available at the accessible bathing area.
