The Colada de la Costa trail received the Blue Trail award today. The Councilor for Environment and Beaches, Carlos Soler, has collected the Sender Blau 2024 flag that has been awarded to him by the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education in Colada de la Costa at the presentation of the Blue Path Flags 2024 in Madrid.
La Colada de Costa is the natural route that connects the Torres beach and the Cala, an 8-kilometer route that corresponds to an old livestock road close to the sea, which starts next to the Aguiló watchtower, passes through the Racó de Conill cove and ends at the funeral tower of Sant Josep. This award highlights the commitment of Vila Joiosa Town Council to the recovery and enhancement of this trail, as well as promoting environmental education and the sustainable enjoyment of the environment.
Afterwards, the attendees took part in a guided tour of the Blue Path of the Camí Vell de Las Matas. The Councilor for the Environment, Carlos Soler, points out that "it is the first time that this forest path has received this recognition and the Councilor for the Environment is working on the care and protection of our natural environment with the aim that both residents and tourists alike can enjoy the landscapes and the recreational and sports activities offered by our municipality.” 128 routes have been awarded as Senders Blaus 2024.
