The Mayor Marcos Zaragoza attends the Fair which a showcooking of white prawn is shown by the chefs from the village Toni Mayor, from the Taverna El Pòsit, and David López, from the Ca Marta restaurant.
La Vila Joiosa made its debut this year at the culinary excellence competition in Spain, Madrid Fusión, presenting its star products: white prawns and chocolate. Since yesterday, the tourism council has been present at the Costa Blanca stand offering a tasting of Chocolates Valor products.
"Since we were offered the opportunity to be part of the Costa Blanca stand at Madrid Fusión, we have not hesitated to bring the native products so characteristic of our municipality such as chocolate and white prawns. And this year, we have decided to bet on offering Valor chocolates at the counter, as it is an internationally recognized food brand, for which we are grateful for Valor's collaboration with Vila Joiosa Town Council , as well as the Fishermen's Guild that gave us the white prawns to prepare the show cooking".
The Mayor Marcos Zaragoza visited the fair to meet with various culinary brands and professionals in the sector and to attend the demonstration of the village's seafood cuisine. The presentation of the white shrimp of the Fishermen's Guild has been staged with four hands with a show cooking by two chefs from the village, Toni Mayor, from the Taverna El Pòsit, and David López, from the Ca Marta restaurant. Both delighted the audience with a dish of white prawn marinated in Valencian citrus, with seaweed crust and garum emulsion and a creamy garlic white prawn with sesame emulsion and cardamom air.
"After the great reception in Fitur, where we show the village cuisine by Marta Devesa, from the Llar del Pescador restaurant, we continue to work on our strategy to promote the Gastronomic Village at national level and promote our gastronomy, our restaurants and our products from the hands of great professionals from Vila Joiosa in this very select culinary event, which is Madrid Fusión", adds Llorca.
For his part, the Mayor Marcos Zaragoza explains that "we consider it essential to be present at this fair where the best chefs and the most leading gastronomic brands meet to promote our own products and we have again presented the agenda of 2024 of La Vila Gastronòmica in Madrid Fusion to reach an audience more specialized in gastronomy and promote the positioning of Vila Joiosa as a quality gastronomic tourism destination. With this, we not only boost tourism, but we boost the hospitality, fishing and chocolate industry sectors of our municipality, in order to generate more wealth and employment".
