

Benidorm, Altea and neighbouring towns prepare for a packed week of celebrations and activities
Costa Blanca, Spain – March 2026 – The Costa Blanca is preparing for a vibrant week of events, with resorts across the region offering everything from major festivals and live entertainment to cultural activities and outdoor experiences.
Benidorm
Benidorm is at the heart of the action this week. The internationally renowned Fallas Festival continues until 19 March, bringing fireworks, parades and the traditional “La Cremà”. The resort also celebrates St Patrick’s Day on 17 March, with thousands expected to gather in the Rincón de Loix area for live music, themed parties and all-day entertainment.
Altea
Altea offers a more relaxed atmosphere, with artisan markets, exhibitions and cultural events taking place in the picturesque Old Town. The town remains a popular destination for visitors seeking a quieter, more traditional Spanish experience.
Alfaz del Pi / Albir
Alfaz del Pi and nearby Albir continue to host a programme of local events, including live music, community activities and cultural gatherings, popular with both residents and visitors.
La Nucía
Motorsport takes centre stage in La Nucía this week with the Rally La Nucía, attracting competitors and spectators from across the region for several days of high-speed action.
Villajoyosa
Known for its colourful seafront, Villajoyosa is welcoming visitors with guided tours, coastal walks and its famous chocolate heritage experiences, offering a more laid-back alternative to the larger resorts.
Finestrat
Finestrat provides a quieter escape, with local events, occasional live music and a range of outdoor activities including hiking and excursions to nearby natural attractions.
